Gar Alperovitz at the MLK National Historic Site

Political economist and historian Gar Alperovitz kicked off his national book tour for What Then Must We Do? with an event at the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historic Site hosted by the Partnership for Southern Equity and Georgia STAND-UP on April 2, 2013. Panelists for the event, which sought to connect today’s movement for a new and more inclusive economy grounded in community wealth building to Dr. King’s antipoverty vision, included Deborah Scott of Georgia STAND-UP, Joyce Dorsey of Fulton Atlanta Community Action Authority, Suzanne Burnes of Sustainable Atlanta, and Nathaniel Smith of the Partnership for Southern Equity.
