Nathaniel Smith Speaking @ Equitable Dinners

October 19, 2020 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm EDT

Theater Emory and Theater Studies will host “Equitable Dinners: Setting the Table for Racial Equity,” a virtual conversation about racial equity and voting rights.

Produced by Out of Hand Theater the evening will begin with a play written by Paris Crayton III designed to illuminate racial equity issues centered around voting and launch a conversation on racial equity. The performance will be followed by a presentation by Nathaniel Smith, founder and chief equity officer of the Partnership for Southern Equity.

Following the presentation, participants will be sent to virtual breakout rooms where a trained facilitator will help begin and guide a dialogue about racial equity.

Read more about Equitable Dinners in a recent AJC article, “Equitable Dinners combine virtual theater with dialogue on race.”
