DESCRIPTION:The Keep That Same Energy (KTSE) Youth Initiative invites young people to learn\, engage and lead a call to action for Just Energy for all. This initiative seeks to inspire and train leaders who will create opportunities in which all people can thrive in regenerative and equitable communities. In the summer of 2020\, KTSE is inviting young people from across the southeast to come together\, break bread and talk about the inequities we are all seeing and experiencing as a result of COVID-19. During this summer virtual dinner series\, we will report what we have seen\, what action is needed and be inspired to create the change we want to see. Join us for a virtual changemakers dinner party. Register for one (or all!) of the dinners today! \n  \n\n\nWhat’s the Tea?: Youth\, Equity\, and the Coronavirus\n\n\nDuring this virtual conversation\, youth leaders from around the southeast will give their ‘reports from the field’ about what they have seen and experienced in the wake of COVID-19. What does their community look like? What equity issues have been exacerbated by the pandemic? What action (or lack thereof) have city and state governments taken to slow the spread? \n  \n\n\n“Keep that Same Energy: What necessary action from young leaders is needed right now?”\n\n\nSpecial Guest: Dwayne Patterson\, VP of Strategy and Engagement of Partnership for Southern Equity\nSo what are we going to do about it? During this conversation\, those same leaders (and maybe a few more) will discuss what they have seen and what is needed to be done. Ideas around the action that we can take to combat the inequities will be born and hopefully\, a network of equity youth warriors will be born to support each other in these efforts across the region. \n  \n\n\n“Hella Deep: Wisdom with a Community Leader“\n\n\nSpecial Guest: Nathaniel Smith\, Chief Equity Officer of Partnership for Southern Equity\nIn this last installment of the series\, youth leaders will be able to share some inspiring stories of the good they have seen and the changes that are already being born. Additionally\, we will all hear from Nathaniel Q. Smith\, the Founder and Chief Equity Officer of Partnership for Southern Equity as he imparts some wisdom on us all to go forth and be the change we want to see in the world. \n
