PSE is celebrating 10 years

and we invite you to join us in the celebration

About the Anniversary Memoir Cookbook

We are preparing a memoir cookbook to honor PSE’s first decade of existence and the tremendous work we have been part of within our communities — as well as looking ahead to our hopes for the next decade.

We would like the cookbook to include recipes from throughout the PSE community that speak to our rich heritage and the wealth of perspectives, expertise, and passion that is part of our work.

In addition to recipes, the book will include narratives about the people, places, and events that have marked our first decade.

This is not a history of one organization.

This is a history of the individuals — you among them — who have dedicated their time and treasures to being part of PSE and to lifting up the South for a more equitable future.

This is the history of the South and the context we work within to make new beauty.

This is the history of who we are, and who we belong to.

Anthony Bourdain
Food is everything we are. It's an extension of national feeling, ethnic feeling, your personal history, your province, your region, your tribe, your grandma. It's inseparable from those from the get-go.

Requesting Your Recipes and Memories

With this in mind, we are asking you to send in your recipe to be included in PSE’s publication honoring our first decade of existence.

We encourage you to send in a photo of your handwritten recipe (or recipes, if you'd like to submit two), but the form also gives the option to type it out if you prefer.

You are also encouraged to send in any photos of yourself, your meals, your past, your family, your work, or PSE. Please include a caption with each photo to tell us what it is and what it means to you.
