The Southern Unity for Racial Justice and Equity Summit (SURJE) aims to convene national partners, allies and friends for learning, dialog, and healing. This three-day summit will include networking, expert panels, workshops, and will serve as a call-to-action for the mobilization of a just equity ecosystem and unite in the spirit of restoration.

The goal of SURJE is to provide a space where leaders can anchor Racial Equity and help begin the process of co-creating the future we want to see. If we can galvanize leaders from across the South to move the needle for racial equity, then we can change the world.

Your registration provides you access to all of the plenary presentations, concurrent breakout sessions, and multiple social and networking receptions that make up the SURJE Summit.

We are no longer accepting proposals.

We encourage all attendees to register for the conference in advance. This allows us to plan accordingly for the appropriate number of attendees and manage any accommodations needed. As a  bonus, SURJE offers an early-bird discount for those who register by the designated deadline.

Memphis and Atlanta will always have a psychic connection due to the history and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. His work in organizing sanitation workers in Memphis in the 1960’s is emblematic of the work we are doing today at PSE. That makes Memphis the perfect location for this inaugural Summit. We are proud to partner with the City of Memphis and other Tennessee and national partners for this important event.
