What does it mean to be an Equity Sustainer?

Fall 2021 Equity Sustainers Week (October 31 – November 9)

Whether in Adel, Savannah, Summerville, or Fort Valley, our intrepid community organizers bring the work of racial equity and shared prosperity to kitchen tables throughout Georgia. The Partnership for Southern Equity understands that lasting change to the prevailing systems of disparity and inequity will not occur through one program or one initiative but by deep, intentional, and long-term engagement with communities and residents who can envision the changes they would like to see.

We’re asking our dearest supporters and friends to find room to contribute $10, $15, $20, or more per month to support the work of equity throughout metropolitan Atlanta and the American South.

Although the Partnership for Southern Equity was honored to receive nearly $8 million in funding from organizations this year, it is the monthly pledges we receive from individual givers like you that enable us to work most responsively within our communities.

To thank our supporters, starting October 31, 2021, we will be celebrating our Fall 2021 Equity Sustainers Week. This week is an opportunity to share our gratitude for individuals like yourself who choose to support our work.

On Friday, November 5, 2021, we are inviting our Equity Sustainers to join us for a special conversation with our board members: Sandra Barnhill, Kwaku “KC” George, Don Phoenix, and Elizabeth Swann. Please click here to RSVP so we make room for you.

This event is limited to 50 people due to the size of the space, but we will live stream the event on all our social media channels below to give those who cannot make it in-person the opportunity to join us virtually.

If you’re not already an Equity Sustainer, we hope you’ll consider deepening your commitment today so you can join this conversation, and receive invitations to similar special events in the future.

Thank you in advance for your continued support and if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected].
